The story
Long Island UV Printing grew out of a shop that has been doing garment decoration in Huntington for years. Our sister business, Long Island DTF Printing, became known on Long Island for fast gang sheet printing and direct-to-film transfers. Customers kept asking us what else we could print on. Not fabric. Wood. Glass. Metal. Tile. Things they wanted to customize but could not get done locally without going to a sign shop or waiting weeks.
Adding UV direct-to-object was the answer. The same shop. The same team. The same commitment to fast local turnaround. Now with a printer that bonds full-color UV ink directly onto the surface of the object itself, no film, no transfer layer, no vinyl. We are part of the same family as Embroidery LI and Long Island Custom Printing. We all operate out of the Huntington area, and we refer customers to whichever site fits their actual project.
We opened this service because no one else nearby was doing UV direct-to-object with 3D texture capability at accessible order sizes. Most UV shops are large commercial operations with high minimums and long lead times. We built this to serve single-item orders, small brands, local businesses, and anyone who wants something custom on a material that is not a shirt.
The hardware
Our printer
We run an industrial UV printer that prints CMYK color with a white underbase and a gloss varnish layer, all in one pass. It handles flat objects and, with the rotary attachment, cylindrical ones too: tumblers, mugs, bottles, golf balls.
The system supports layered raised texture, which builds up real relief by stacking white ink before the color print. The print head moves with high precision, so detail stays sharp even at small sizes. Inks cure instantly under UV light, which means the print comes off the bed dry, hard, and ready to handle. No curing oven, no wait time.
